Paper-making

Class Description
Discover the craft of handmade paper in this hands-on workshop! You'll learn the basics of papermaking from start to finish — tearing and shredding paper, pulping it in water, and using a mold and deckle to form and couch your own sheets. Once you've got the technique down, the real fun begins: pressing dried flower petals and seeds right into your paper to create one-of-a-kind decorative designs. You'll also get to use a Sizzix cutter to snip shapes from old books and magazines, layering them into your sheets for extra texture and character. By the end of class, you'll walk away with a beautiful, frameable page of decorative paper — plus a batch of playful seed papers you can plant and share. (Seed paper, once planted and watered, will actually sprout!) No experience necessary — just a willingness to get your hands a little wet and messy in the best way.
