Beaded Wine Glasses
Friday, October 2 : 5-7pm with Jesica Carleton
Class Description
Turn an ordinary wine glass into a sparkling, one-of-a-kind work of art! Join us during First Friday in downtown Redmond at the Dry Canyon Community Art Center for a fun and creative evening of mosaic-inspired glass decorating. In this hands-on class, you’ll transform the foot of a wine glass into a miniature work of art using an assortment of colorful tiny mosaic tiles, glass pieces, beads, gems, and other embellishments. Using epoxy putty as both an adhesive and a mosaic medium, you’ll learn how to build up your design and securely set your pieces into the base of the glass. Play with color, texture, pattern, and dimension as you create a unique design that reflects your personal style. With a fabulous assortment of tiny tiles and beads to choose from, no two wine glasses will be alike! Come make art, enjoy the energy of First Friday, and explore the galleries and shops of downtown Redmond while you're here. The Dry Canyon Community Art Center is a wonderful new home for art, education, and community connection. No experience necessary—all materials, tools, and a wine glass are provided. Finished glasses are decorative and should be hand-washed with care.
