7/21: Intro to Gelli Printmaking

Tuesday, July 21, 4:30-6pm with Susan Shayegi

1 h 30 min
50 US dollars
Southwest 6th Street

Class Description

Come explore the fun and easy process of making colorful mono prints using the gelli printing method. By using a gelatin-like plate, paint and a variety of texture and stencil tools, you’ll create one of a kind art by layering colors, textures and patterns. We’ll cover the nuts and bolts of materials, care for tools and how to pull prints. By the end of class you’ll have a collection of small colorful 5x7 prints and one larger multi layered art piece that you can frame and hang on your wall. No experience necessary and all materials are included. If you wish, you can purchase your gelli plate and brayer at the end of class to continue your own self study.
